Consider commissioning an icon

If there is a holy person who is particularly dear to you or a story that has great meaning to you, you might consider commissioning an icon. As you can imagine, such an icon will be very personal and at the same time will probably have some things to say about your unique spiritual evolution.

To begin, we will sit down together and you will tell me what about the person or the story speaks to you. I'll want to know about the personal connection. I might even have you send me written material. After I have taken all this information in, I will write the icon in prayer.

I ask for 1/2 the price of the work up front and 1/2 upon completion and delivery. Prices depend on the size and intricacy of the work, and we'll discuss this as part of our mutual discernment of how the icon will be.
